Emily, Andy, and big sister Kate welcomed Samuel Edward into the world this afternoon at 12:04 p.m. Samuel weighed 7 lbs, 7 oz and is 19.25 inches long and has LOTS of dark hair!
Emily had a doctor’s appointment yesterday and they discovered through examination and ultrasound that the baby had flipped into the correct position! No longer a breech! So, Em’s Dr. (who also delivered my two babies!) decided not to give the baby a chance to flip back to breech, and induced her last night. Although Samuel took his time coming into the world, according to Emily, getting him here “Could not have been any easier. It’s crazy how easy it was!” (Don’t you hate her??)
And now I am off to drop my kids at my sis-in-law’s so I can run to the hospital and see my new baby cousin! I will report back ASAP!!

HAPPY BABY BOY!!! Oh, I’m SOOO happy for you all! And can I tell you, we said LOTS of prayer for Baby to flip — I’m so glad you didn’t need a c-section!
And, dontcha just LOVE getting induced! Sir Screamsalot was soooo easy it was freakish. Or maybe I’m just made of rubber bands – either way, I was driving 2 days later and felt fine (other than the boob-bombs!).

yea for baby Samuel!!!!! I’m jealous – still have 6 weeks left! now you can start giving me all the advice on how to handle a toddler and a newborn…i’m already freaked out! CONGRATS!!!!
