Last week, coincidentally on my 15th wedding anniversary, a new Fresh Thyme market opened up near me in Centerville!! I had been super-excited about the opening ever since I saw it being built next to one of my most-frequented retailers. Then, the ads for the store started showing up in my Sunday newspaper and I got more excited than ever!

Why? Fresh Thyme, for  one, has a HUGE selection of gluten-free items, which, since I am allergic to wheat, I need! Check these out!

Ok, I am going to stop here before I get too excited about all the amazing products Fresh Thyme has and tell you pretty much THE most important thing you need to know about Fresh Thyme.

It’s a not-secret that I need to make sure you need to know: DOUBLE AD WEDNESDAYS. “What,” you say, “can this be?” Let me tell you friends: quite possibly the greatest invention in the history of sales! You see, Fresh Thyme’s sale ads are EIGHT days long instead of seven. And they start and end on Wednesdays. Which means EVERY Wednesday, you get two shop TWO sale ads. DOUBLE the sales!!! Double-dipping! Double savings! Double Ad Wednesday!

You can probably guess which day of the week I will be frequenting Fresh Thyme. I mean, is that not AMAZING?!?!? I seriously cannot wait to get there tonight to double-dip! This is not an April Fool’s joke, my friends, this is a REAL DEAL! Whoop whoop!

Ok, so back to the amazing products they offer. Here are some other great reasons to shop Fresh Thyme!

So, as I mentioned, I got braces about two weeks ago. And I feel like I’ve been to CVS just about every day since then! And not just for sport, like Jenny, but because I’ve needed to buy all sorts of stuff. Luckily for me, CVS has it all (and is conveniently located in my little town).

In case any of you are going to venture into the world of orthodontia, either for yourselves or your kids, I thought I’d highlight a few items I’ve found particularly helpful in the past couple weeks. That way, maybe you’ll only have to take one or two trips to CVS, rather than eleventy-billion.

First of all – do not pass Go, do not collect $200 – get some ibuprofen.

(Incidentally, did you see this article on HuffPo about how it pays to buy store brands of OTC medication? I usually do anyway, but now I know it’s just as effective!)

Next – toothbrushes. Just go on ahead and stock up on those. You’re going to want some at home, at work, in your purse, and in your car. I’m not even exaggerating. And, you’re going to go through them more quickly than usual too, because braces tear them up. (Fortunately I channeled my inner-Jenny and found a deal on Oral-B products that gave me $3 in ExtraBucks!)

I went for the gold and bought this one.

And, at the recommendation of my orthodontist (and after several days of having food stuck in my teeth), I got this as well.

Both of those things are pretty expensive, but I am sinking all kinds of money into this process anyway, so I want to do it right. And, since I used my ExtraCare card, I’ll get two percent back in ExtraBucks.

Another item we could really use in our family is this awesome luggage set. They have SO MANY luggage sets at such awesome prices. I will probably never attempt to buy one in a regular store ever again.
