I like big fruit and I cannot lie!

Thanks to Yoplait for sponsoring this conversation. My love of fruit and yogurt is 100% my own.

Have you guys ever watched the show Burn Notice? I’ve been watching it on Netflix and I’m really into it. Since I’m not exactly a super-spy, the show does not resemble my real life in any way. Except one. The leading character, Michael Westen and I have something in common.

We both love yogurt long time.

For some reason, it’s a little funny quirk in the show – Westen is constantly eating yogurt. Everyone jokes about it, even his enemies. Hit his yogurt supply, and you hit him where it hurts.

I can totally relate. For me, yogurt has always been a daily snack staple, but I rely on it a lot more since I’ve gone gluten-free. I LOVES ME SOME YOGURT! I usually eat a couple a day, and one of my favorite ways to eat it is with fruit. Just this weekend I got crazy and mixed lemon yogurt with fresh raspberries and WOW! – was that good! But now, I’ve found a simpler way to mix my fruit with my yogurt – Yoplait Fruitful.

Yoplait Fruitful cups are simply yogurt + real fruit. 1/3 cup of fruit to be exact! YUM! They are a delicious snack or breakfast for me (or both) and they don’t contain artificial sweeteners or dyes. They come in six fruit flavors: Pineapple, Strawberry, Mango Pineapple & Orange (!!! SOO GOOD), Blueberry, Peach, and Cherries and Red Berries. This is a NEW product but if you are in the Central Midwest you should be able to get it NOW!

Mango, Pineapple, & Orange is my favorite flavor. Because I’m exotic like that!

I’m SURE you are going to want to try Yoplait Fruitful, so I’ll get you started off with a coupon! Click here to download a coupon for 30 cents off one cup. It’s on the right-hand side of the page – click where it says “enjoy with a coupon”.

Jonah, my little gluten-free toddler buddy, loves Yoplait Fruitful too! He eats yogurt for lunch and snack every day, and I like getting him this big serving of fruit in there as well.

Excited! About! Yogurt!

I may not be a super-spy like my yogurt-loving buddy from Burn Notice, but at least I’ve added a little thrill to my yogurt routine with Fruitful. They are dee-flipping-licious! Long Love Fruit! Go getcha some, and don’t forget to download your coupon here first.

So, are you headed to the store with your coupon? How do you like your yogurt?

See Jenny Shop: Major CVS Sunday haul!!

You guys, I had SO MUCH FUN CVSing yesterday! It was pretty much just like OLD times! Wheeee! To start out with,  I had 6 ECBs left over from last week’s deals. THEN when I scanned my Extra Care card at the Magic Coupon Machine, out popped my $5 ECB for spending $50 with the CVS Beauty Club! That’s my 2nd reward since I started shopping drugstore makeup about 2 weeks ago. And of course I haven’t actually SPENT very much to get up to that $50 total, since the total is BEFORE coupons and ECBs. WHEEE!! Here’s what I got yesterday. I was SO excited!

cvs623a

First I went for some great freebies to build up some more Extra Care Bucks!
Transaction #1:

Two Colgate toothpaste $2.99 each = $5.98

Two Coppertone Sport suncscreen, 2/$19.98

One Crest mouthwash $4.99

Total = $30.95

Coupons I used:

-$5/$30 purchase CVS email coupon (woot!!)

-$2/2 Colgate printable from coupons.com

-$1.10 off Crest mouthwash from coupons.com

-$5/2 Coppertone from today’s Smart Source insert

– 11 Extra Care bucks I had from previous purchase + Beauty Club Rewards

Total  = $6.85 + tax = 8.32

Got back 4 ECB for the Colgate, 8 ECB for the Coppertone, and 4 for the Crest = 16 ECB!

With which I did this next transaction. I cannot pass up a chance to stock up on diapers for cheap!

cvs623b

3 Huggies jumbo packs $9.49 each = $28.47

Desitin $3

Wet ‘n Wild blush $2.99

Wet ‘n Wild Megalast lip color (which I hated by the way – DO NOT BUY!) $2.99

total = $37.45

Coupons I used:

-$9 – three $3 off Huggies printable coupons

-$1 Desitin printable coupon

-$16 ECB from previous transaction

= $11.45 + tax = $14.08 and I got back 14 ECB – 12 for the Huggies/Desitin (baby care deal) and 2 for the Wet ‘n Wild. It was a cheap makeup deal that I couldn’t resist but like I said, I hate the lip color. I have tried some lipsticks from Wet ‘n Wild that I like but that one I cannot recommend. It made my lips feel so dry I thought they would crack and break off my face. Blecch.

But anway!! I got 14 ECB! And this time the Magic Coupon machine spit me out a coupon for $1 off any $1.99 Wet ‘n Wild purchase – even though I had just made one, I decided to spend that real quick, and get another Crest mouthwash because the limit was 2 on that deal and I had another coupon. So I got:

cvs623c

Crest mouthwash $4.99

Wet ‘n Wild lip gloss $1.99 (haven’t tried it yet but I am sure it will be fine as it’s not the same kind as the other.)

total = $6.98

coupons I used:

-$1 CVS coupon for Wet ‘n Wild

-$1.10 Crest mouthwash coupon from coupons.com

-$2 ECB

total = $2.88 tax = $3.37 and I got back 4 ECB for the Crest. And of course, all that Wet ‘n Wild racked me up some more earnings towards my next CVS Beauty Club reward!

So, I started the day with 11 ECB, spent a total of $25.77 for all that stuff, and ended the day with 16 ECB left to spend! I think that’s pretty darn good…especially when I would have paid more than that for just the three packs of diapers alone without coupons and Extra Care Bucks!

WEEE HOO, that’s what I got this week! What are you getting at the drugstores??

Coupon match-ups: There’s an app for that!

This weekend I had some serious grocery shopping to do, and it was also seriously random. I needed to get our weekly staples, plus snacks and baking stuff for Joshua’s family birthday party on Sunday and friends sleepover (which is coming up Friday, eeek!) I was also excited to try out a  new app to help with grocery planning and saving, Grocery Nation. Full disclosure, Grocery Nation is sponsoring my review – but – I would’ve tried the app anyway because some of my genius friends are part of the team that produced it!! I’m talking about Andrea from Savings Lifestyle and Erin from $5 Dinners. Not only are they kind of a big deal, they are my friends and I am super-proud of them!!

Right now Grocery Nation is in beta and only available to us lucky shoppers in Ohio and Indiana. I say “lucky” because oh em gee BFF’s, this app is awesome!

Right now it’s only available on Android, so I used our Motorola Xoom tablet,  but you can also use it on your Android phone.

Here’s how it works! First, you pick your store. Then, you view the sales items and check which ones you want to buy. If you want more detail on the sale, you can view each one individually. Then, you email your list to yourself.

Here’s the best part: When you email your list to yourself, all the coupon match-ups are listed including LIVE LINKS to printables and digital coupons! So you can open your email and just click down your list to print coupons on load them to your store loyalty card or program. If you’re going with paper coupons, it will list the insert to find the coupon in and what date it came out.

grocerynationcollage
1) Select your store        2) view the sales        3) view sale detail       4) Email your list!

Here is what I really loved about the app: It is soooo much easier to scroll through sales and match-ups on my phone or tablet than it is on the computer. I can’t always sit down with my laptop but I can have my phone with me just about anywhere. Anytime I have a few minutes of downtime, I can browse the sales, pick which I’m interested in, and email it to myself ( or my friends if I want to share a deal, which I do often!!) so it’ll be there waiting for me when I am able to sit down with the computer. Half the work of preparing my grocery trip is already done by the time I sit down to get myself organized. WIN!

This past weekend I went to  both Kroger and Meijer and shopped using the deals I found on Grocery Nation. I haven’t been to Meijer in for-ev-er  but now that Kroger is discontinuing double coupons, I may have to shop coupon deals there. My Meijer trip yielded a great score on yogurt thanks to Grocery Nation. Jonah eats a TON of yogurt, and it is his main breakfast food since he can’t eat oats or wheat. He was pretty happy that I got these 4-packs of yogurt for 88 cents each using my list with printable coupon links from Grocery Nation!

My mom uses Grocery Nation! Woot woot!

Ohio and Indiana Android users, grab this app here.  It’s free and it’ll save you tons of time and cash. And you know, time IS money! Apple users, keep your eyes peeled because this awesome app will be available for iOs devices later this year. You can visit the Grocery Nation website by clicking here and enter your email if you want to be notified when it’s available for your device.

Bottom line: this is a great app and I’m so happy to know about it and use it. Give it a whirl and let me know what you think!

As I mentioned, Grocery Nation sponsored this post. All opinons about the app are my own.
