Jenny’s how-to: Eye makeup that makes your eyes pop!

Hello lovelies.  It’s been awhile since I’ve done any makeup tips and I kind of miss doing it.   I had a lot of fun experimenting with my eye makeup on my recent trips to Mom 2.0 Summit and the Toyota Women event, so I decided to do a video on my three favorite tried-and-true tips for having eye makeup that really makes your eyes pop.  I have small eyes that kind of disappear when I smile, so I use a lot of eye makeup to open them up.  And here’s how…hope you enjoy!  Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think! And enjoy me looking dumb as I try using my webcam as a mirror.  I hope to get better at that. 🙂

What do you think? Are those tips do-able for you? Leave me a comment and let me know!

Mary Kay Redefining Elegance Collection

I loooves me some makeup, but only if that makeup is Mary Kay.  For four years, MK is the only makeup that’s touched my face!  And I love it even more when they let me review their great products.  Last week they sent me some of the limited-edition products from their Redefining Elegance Collection to review.  Here’s what I tried!

Filigree Eye and Cheek Powder

This Filigree Eye & Cheek powder is a complete palette for your face! It’s blush and three complementary eye colors all in one.  These pretty colors are infused with gold flecks for extra shimmer.  They look great 0n and it’s convenient to have everything together in one palette.

Luxury Liner

I love this Luxury Liner! It’s a liquid liner that goes on super-smooth.  It’s not drippy or runny at all. Goes on great, stays on, doesn’t smudge – love it.  I tried the plum color and it’s so pretty and different.

Lip Suede

This Lip Suede is different from most Mary Kay lipstick I’ve tried, but I really like it!  “Suede” is an accurate name, it feels very smooth and velvety.  The color is great and it stays on really well.   The matte look is very sophisticated, great for day or evening.

I love when Mary Kay brings out these limited edition collections!  These items really complement my “normal” Mary Kay favorites!  Check them all out on Mary Kay’s website.

Baring My Face (and therefore my soul)

It’s BlissDom week! Emily and I are super-excited that on Thursday, we are jumping in Cortney’s truck and heading down to Nashville for BlissDom for the second year in a row. We expect to engage in all kinds of bloggy fun and even learn a few things! We have LOTS of fun an exciting stuff to announce this week to go along with our trip to BlissDom, but first, I am going to get semi-naked before you. EEEP! Ok, not that kind. I’m going to show you my face with very little makeup. Double EEEP!

My vanity has done me a favor in that Mary Kay has generously give Emily and me some makeup to wear to BlissDom so that we will look as FABULOUS as we ARE. Using my mad makeup skillz and Mary Kay product, I’ve done a tutorial on how to get a neutral makeup look. This is a great look for every day and any day! Hope you all enjoy, and try to remember what I look like at the END of the video, not at the beginning!
