CVS – A Week of Sharing the LURVE!

This was a very fun CVS week for me!! For starters, on Sunday my friend Lori came to town and we hit CVS together. Where Lori lives, the nearest CVS is 20 minutes away. So here she felt like she was in CVS heaven since there are like 7 CVSes within 10 minutes of me (several 5 minutes or less! Woot!) We went to two CVSes, and Lori got to meet my favorite cashier, and we had a great time. PLUS, she got over $100 in merchandise for about $27 out of pocket, and got $36.34 in ECBs for next time!! So she got PAID over $10 to buy all that stuff!! Here’s a pic of her haul:

And here’s us being dorks (what we do best)!

The next thing that was fun for me this week was I got to share the CVS LURVE with my folks. I love giving stuff to my friends & family members, which I never would have been able to do before CVSing and coupons came into my life. Well my dad is having surgery next week and needed some post-op supplies. So my mom and I and the kids hit CVS and got all the stuff dad needs – over $65 worth – for about $2 out-of-pocket. Woohoo!

The third things that was fun for me this week was that the May monthly ECB deals started on Thursday!! I hit ’em hard the first day out and here is one of my transactions:

Milk $3.29
2 Aquafresh $2.99 each
1 Tums Quikpak $4.69
3 CVS allergy $3.79 each
Total = $25.33 before tax
Coupons used:
CVS $4/20
$2/$10 CVS Brand
Two $1 off Aquafresh
$1 off Tums
Spent $15.98 in ECBs and paid 35 cents cash and got back $22.04 in ECBs!! CVS, I LUUURVE YOU!

Other things I got at CVS this week that we needed and didn’t have to pay real money for: Children’s Claritin and allergy eyedrops for Joshua!! YAY!

  1. As usual, I am amazed. I saved about $18.00 with ECB’s last week and the cashier said, “Good job on the savings”.

I had to reply, “Oh, that’s NOTHING! I could tell you some stories about this girl I know!”

  2. Ooooh, I gosta have some of that allergy relief stuff. Clariton is expensive. Can we get the $4/20 & $2/10 on moneysavingmom.com? And…. when I grow up I want to be like you, but until then….I’m scared, can you go with me, huh?

  3. I want to be like you too when I grow up….expect a boy….and not married to Booby….and I would still get to be BFF with Luanne, right?!

  4. My sis, Luanner told me about this but I was not a believer until I actually met her. Wow is she ever good. Can you educate this southern girl on the art of CVSing? At least I have a CVS close to my new job. Oh yeah, did I forget to tell you – I have a new – old job. My old job called and wanted to know if I would come back. Of course, I would for a price. Somehow, I think if I had the CVS Queen, I could’ve gotten a better deal. Teach me…….Please…..

  5. Awesome!! CVS IS so much more fun with friends!!! 🙂

Don’t you still get a rush when you score a good deal!?!?

Thanks again for posting on my site for CVS Superstars!

  6. Hi there – I’m a friend of Melissa Probst’s – she told me about your blog while I was pregnant & I stop in to read once in awhile – you guys do a great job 🙂 Anyways, could you please post a bit more on how to work the CVS so well? I have no idea what you’re talking about with the ECB’s, special days, etc – but it sounds like I need to know! Desperate to save some money & a fellow-mommy, Melissa Browning
