A Day in the Life

Skype can help friends and family stay in touch, but it’s also a great business tool. Jenny and I use it for bloggy business quite often – communicating with each other, participating in group chats, or making conference calls. I’ve even participated in an job interview over Skype. Oh, and there was that time I Skyped with Kelly Ripa.

Skype is always on, so no matter what time of day we need to get our work done, it’s available.

There’s something about being face-to-face, even virtually, that takes conversation and connection to the next level. You can tell more about a person and form closer connections when you can actually see him or her.

It’s the one thing from Back to the Future II that came true.

It’s time to say more and stay human. It’s time for Skype.

  1. *SIGH* My poor old home computer on dial-up internet can’t handle skype, much to my mother’s disappointment. We live about 1700 miles apart and every time we talk on the phone she’s like “Oh I wish you could Skype with us on your computer like your sister can”. Every freaking time we talk on the phone I have to hear this from her and it is exhausting! I think I might be
disowned as the Skype-less daughter soon enough.
Nevermind my rant. I do love Skype as I have been able to try it a few times on other people’s computers! LOL
