Weekly Winners: Emily & Jenny at BlissDom ’09 Edition

Welcome to the Weekly Winners BlissDom ’09 edition! We had an amazing time and this week we’ll both be telling you all about it and showing you LOTS of pictures. But to start off we’ll be a tad narcissistic. Before BlissDom, Emily and I realized we really hadn’t had a good picture taken of the two of us since her sister’s wedding…in 2005!!! We decided this terrible oversight MUST be amended at BlissDom, so…I bring you…pictures of Emily and Jenny (and sometimes some other people!) at BlissDom ’09!

Saturday night with keynote speaker and Emily’s girl crush Jen Lancaster. I seriously have NEVER (not an exaggeration) seen Emily SO EXCITED in my whole life. She was totally googly-eyed over Jen (who is totally awesome and funny – go buy her books!!)

Blowin’ Town!!!

By the time you read this my friends, Emily and I (along with my BFF Luanne) will be headed down the road to NASHVILLE (or NashVegas, as I prefer to call it) on our way to BLISSDOM ’09, hosted by Blissfully Domestic and One2One Network. We are so excited to learn some great things to help us become better bloggers and to meet (and see again) some of our favorite bloggy friends. So stay tuned for millions of fun pics and tales from the road as Em and I prepare to deliver a tag-team knockout and pretty much have the BEST WEEKEND EVER!

Auto Tech 101

On Sunday, Sam and I went to the grocery store. On the way there, I could hear something on the car creaking. After the little run-in I’d had with the street sign, I was super-paranoid about anything being wrong with our remaining car. When I got to the grocery, though, I was relieved to discover that the source of the noise was that the trunk was a little open.

Except it wouldn’t close. I slammed it about 900 times before giving up hope.

I called my favorite mechanic, Bobby Rapson, to see if he had any suggestions for me. He said I should try to pull the lever on the inside of the car again and make sure it’s open all the way, and then try to close the trunk. I went on with my shopping, and when I got back to my car, I went to the driver’s side, started to pull the trunk release lever again, and immediately discovered the problem.

There was a juice box lodged underneath.
