A Walk in the Park

A few weeks ago, our friends David and Shannon of Locke Innovations Photography, who took Bobby’s and my 10th anniversary Beloved photos, took our family photos as well. We had the best time and they got some really amazing shots.

These two made me tear up:

And these make me swoon:

The most amazing thing about this shoot was all the wonderful shots they got of Sophie. Sophie was NOT performing – she cooperated for about 5 minutes until she realized what was expected of her. Then she just got crazy. She wouldn’t even be bribed with candy. (The girl will NOT be bribed. Very inconvenient for mommy.) And yet, they still got so many beautiful photos of her! I could not believe it! We are so thrilled with our portraits. If you are in Ohio and need photos for any occasion, I highly recommend Locke. I’m definitely signing them up to take baby #3’s newborn photos!  You can learn more about them at their website, Facebook page, or blog!

And now, tell me, isn’t my family beaaaauuutiful??

I love my family portraits!  To see what others love, check out Things I Love Thursday at the Diaper Diaries.

In what has to be one of the most ironic and hilarious natural disasters (disaster? maybe occurrence) ever, Big Butter Jesus, which has sparked one interesting conversation after another with our kids, has gone from this:

Yes, it’s true. Big Butter Jesus is toast.

But don’t worry. They’re planning to resurrect him. And when they do, I can’t wait to see what comes next. My money’s on an earthquake.

Totally Toddler!

Totally Toddler!

Since I am in the throes of potty training hades, I decided to truck it on over to Babies R’ Us yesterday to get some of my FAVORITE all-purpose kid stain cleaner, Totally Toddler.  I somehow discovered this stuff when Joshua was a baby. It gets out anything and is gentle on furniture upholstery, and it smells really great!  I have been out of it for a long time, and the only place I know to buy it is Babies R Us/Toys R Us.

Happily, I found some 50 cent off coupons at Totally Toddler’s website and I printed 3 of them.  Then, when I got to BRU, they had a sign up “$2 off a $10 Totally Toddler purchase”. SCORE!

So I got three bottles o Totally Toddler at $3.29 each and one travel pack of Totally Toddler stain wipes for 99 cents.  After my three 50-cent coupons and the $2 off, it was just $7.98 with tax for all that!  MUCH better than I had expected to do, and now I am stocked up for the new baby, too!

I already got to use it today when Sophie peed on our living room chair. Good times!
