Dudes, this is tough!

Gratuitous cute baby picture!

I know like, many of you have more than three kids and what-not, but daaaang. I’ve never had three before.  And today my husband went back to work and my big kids are still on Christmas Break from school and it was a little crazy.   I had a good friend from out-of-town coming over at 11-ish, and it was all I could do to have the kids and myself all dressed and with clean teeth!  Fortunately, my mom came over later to help, but we were both still hopping much of the day.  She helped keep us going in the dishes and laundry department (I’m not really supposed to be doing stairs right now, much less carrying laundry up and down the stairs and our laundry is in the basement,) (also, my mom luurves our Frigidaire washer and dryer, BTW!) and we both played with the big kids, I nursed the baby, we shared diaper duty, and *shew* it was just A LOT.  I let my kids play far more Wii than they usually do (although most of it was Nickelodeon Wii Fit which TOTALLY ROCKS so at least they were getting exercise, right!?) and just tried to relax and not stress.

I am really looking forward to the big kids going back to school.  Because although to be honest, they have both been GREAT on break, it is HARD to keep them entertained all day in a way that is not a total drain on their brains.  And, they both love school and their routines.  And I need to figure out how baby Jonah fits into those routines!  How am I going to get a baby and Sophie out the door in time to get Sophie to preschool 4 days a week?  Do I carry the car seat with me when I walk her in or get him out and put him in the sling?  I guess there is going to be a lot of trial and error involved.

We’ll figure it out.  I just hope I can feel recovered and kind of figure things out before it’s “GO” time.

Review: Bravado Designs Nursing Tank

I told you a couple of months ago about how much I loved the Bravado Designs Body Silk seamless nursing bra.  And I STILL do!  I wore one all through my pregnancy, and I just got a new one for Christmas from the hubs now that I am actually nursing. Yes, I know, it’s a romantic Christmas gift! But it’s what I needed and wanted so it’s what I asked for.

So, I was really excited to try out the Bravado nursing tank since I love the bra so much.   I wore nursing tanks with my other two babies but I never really had a good one.  And I’ve found with nursing wear especially, you get what you PAY FOR.   I am definitely not cheaping out this time!  This tank is great and it’s worth every penny!  It has a FULL nursing bra inside, not a shelf bra, not just a sling-type support, but a full, actual bra.  It is SO comfortable and functional.  The clips are really discreet (though a bit more complicated to hook and unhook in the dark than the regular bras are) and these tanks are fashionable as well.  I’m not one to walk around in JUST a strappy tank, but this baby will look great under your favorite cardigan or shrug.

So far, Bravado is two for two with me on product excellence!  These are wonderful nursing items that are WELL worth the money and I will definitely buy more!

Thanks Bravado for the tank!  You can shop for Bravado items at their website and get free shipping through January 3rd!  Or you can purchase their products at Diapers.com and get 15% off if you’re a first-time customer using coupon code JENN9409.

My Postpartum Rite Aid Mojo is Rockin’!

I took a very, very short foray out of the house today to go to Rite Aid and the library.  Because you see, I needed to get some sweet deals and return some books!  My mom stayed with the kids so I could run out.  I was in a hurry because after all, I have a wee baby who likes to nurse every 2.2 seconds, but I was still able to score some great deals because I had my transactions all planned out and Rite Aid had everything I wanted!  Here’s what I got:

DSC02312

First transaction:
2 Fusion ProGlide gift packs $9.89 each = $19.78

1 Vick’s Sinex $5

total = $24.78

coupons:

-$8 two $4 off Fusion ProGlide from yesterday’s P&G insert

-$4 Sinex from yesterday’s P&G

-$4 +UP rewards

=8.78 + $1.45 tax = $10.23

I got back 12 +UP Rewards, 5 for each razor and 2 for the Sinex!    After I was done paying, the cashier gave me a “NIIICE”.  I was feeling pretty good, ha ha!  I then ripped those off my receipt and bought the two packs of Duracell batteries!  Gotta have those C and D batteries for the baby swing and the bouncy seat!

2 Duracell batteries $8.88 = $17.76

coupons: -$2 two $1 off Duracell coupons from previous packages of Duracell I bought at Rite Aid 🙂

-$12 +UP Rewards from 1st transaction

=$3.76  +$1.24 tax = $5.00 even!

I got back $5 +UP Rewards for buying $15 worth of Duracell. 🙂

So, I came out even Steven!

Woohoo!!

What did YOU get this week?
