Review: iPad Venture Case from Case-Mate

As if it’s not hard enough to decide what tablet or phone you want to buy, you also have to decide on the accessories! When I first got my iPad, I scoured the internet to find the right case. I’ve tried a few, but the one I like best is the Venture from Case-Mate.

The Venture is a book-style case (that’s my description – no idea if that’s the correct term!) that protects the iPad all the way around. It is sleek and classy, and I love the bit of fun thrown in with the pink trim.

It also has a built-in stand, which is extremely convenient.

I really like having this type of case, because I can throw my iPad in my purse or bag and know it’s not getting scratched up. The Venture gives my iPad protection, but it is thin and light and doesn’t add bulk. And it comes in tons of different colors, so you can pick one that suits your style!

I was checking out Case-Mate’s website, and they have cases for just about any device you can think of, and they are all so cool.

Meet Monsta & his penguin friend:

Aren’t those fun? Case-Mate also lets you be the designer – you can create your own custom case by uploading a picture, remixing their art, or mixing and matching features from their different cases. Very cool. So if you’re buying the techie in your life a new mobile device – or if you’re hoping to get one yourself – check out Case-Mate.com!

Coming to a Kindle Near You…

If you hang around the blogosphere very much, you’ve probably seen the latest craze – e-books. You write one about something and then sell it for a few bucks. Everybody’s doing it!

So, of course, Jenny and I want to jump on the bandwagon too. I mean, we know… stuff about… stuff, right? That’s why we’re bloggers! In any case, we’ve been throwing around a few ideas and wanted to get your feedback on which one you think we should publish.

Without further ado… our tickets to fame and fortune!

So what do you think? Which one should we go for? I’m leaning toward the sideshow freaks one myself, but I don’t want to hurt Jenny’s feelings. You know how sensitive I am toward her! Hey… that could be another topic. “Why Making Fun of Others is Actually Good for Them (and will make you laugh, too).”

The possibilities are endless.

Finished.

A long, long time ago, I had the dumb bright idea to start graduate school. Sam was an infant, I was having an identity crisis… it seemed like a good idea at the time. To me. Not so much to Jenny.

It didn’t take long for me to second-guess that decision.

Along the way, I’ve moaned and whined about the entire experience, and you’ve all been there for me. Seriously, the comments on the posts I linked to above? Made me tear up a little.

Despite all my complaining, I managed to finish my coursework in the spring of 2010. A year and a half ago. Since then, the only thing standing between me and the hood I’ve envied for so long was one little thing – my thesis.

I’ve worried about it, put it off, and generally felt bad about it for so long

But I am so relieved to report that it. Is. Finished.

Not just written – defended. And I passed.

I cannot tell you how glad I am that this thing is over and how much I appreciate your support throughout the whole debacle.

Now, I am going to sleep. (Yes it is 7p.m., what’s your point?)

Tomorrow, I move on with my life.
