Grocery delivery!! Meijer.com now has groceries!

In case you haven’t noticed, I haven’t been shopping much lately.  Truth be told, I have had some bad luck finding things in stock at the drug stores, and when I have had luck, I haven’t had time to post about it.  I’m having a hard time finding the extra time to brag about my coupon scores since I’ve had the baby.  And in January and early February, the weather was SO bad, I had trouble getting out to the store at all!  Which is why when Meijer asked me if I wanted to try their new grocery section of Meijer.com, I was all for it!  They gave me a $50 e-gift card and I went a-shopping.  Now you won’t find as big of a selection online as you do in Meijer’s GIANT stores, but you can find a lot of great necessities!  I decided to look for items that my family uses ALL. THE. TIME – items I will buy whether I have a coupon or not!  So I stocked up on fruit snacks, applesauce, Hershey’s syrup, and other snack items.  I also ordered cake mix and frosting for Joshua’s birthday party.  All in all, I was really pleased with how many of the items I found that I set out to find.  And, I gotta say, having everything delivered to my door within two days and not  having to drag a baby (not to mention the big kids) out in the f-f-f-freezing cold to get all that stuff was pretty awesome!

You can get more than just food at Meijer.com – you can also get diapers and other baby supplies, cleaning and laundry supplies, and household goods like trash bags.  Pretty much anything you hate running out to the store to get!

So, if you’re looking for a convenient way to shop for your family’s necessities, check out the grocery section of Meijer.com!

Review: Milk Nursingwear

Sometime during my pregnancy with Jonah, I decided I was going to try something new with this baby – nursing clothes.  I’d never had a nursing top before, even though I nursed Joshua for over a year and Sophie for twenty-three looong months!  This time I really wanted to find some cute and functional nursing tops.   I bought one that I really like – the style is really cute and it’s very functional, but the fabric hasn’t proven to be the best quality. Fortunately, Milk Nursingwear sent me a top to review and the quality is great!  I had first heard of Milk over a year ago when I got a couple of items from them for a pregnant friend, and I was so glad to try one of their tops myself!  I chose this knot-front top:

I really love this top!  You just pull the fabric over to nurse, it’s so easy!

I also love the way this top flows out at the bottom.  Perfect for covering up that post-baby belly.  Which is another great thing about a nursing top – not having to lift my shirt and expose my flab!  It’s discreet in more ways than one.

I couldn’t be happier with my Milk Nursingwear top, and I’m definitely going to order a summer style or two.  They have cute dresses, too!  I think that’s especially great since it’s so difficult to find dress styles that you can nurse in. You can check Milk out at their website where you can also get some  of your favorite nursing bras, tanks, and accessories!

My poor neglected third child

Despite Emily’s assertion that I’m spending more time on my kids, my poor little Jonah boy is seriously suffering from third-child syndrome.  We have taken, like, 12 pictures of him on actual camera since he was born.  We’ve got plenty of camera-phone pictures like this gem:

But no real ones!  It’s pretty sad, and I’ve GOT to get it taken care of right away!  But geez I don’t even have time to talk to Emily on the INTERNETZ much less photograph the baby.

So, I am really happy about this little thing we have now called the smartphone.  And it’s pal, the You Tube.  Because last night my hubby got this a-freaking-dorable video of Jonah finding his voice, and if a picture is worth a thousand words, I think this video is worth 1,001.  Enjoy!
