Sunday Rite Aid Run

Today I hit Rite Aid because, well, I have an addiction. 🙂 No, the REAL reason was because they had my favorite Lansinoh nursing pads on sale BOGO free and I wanted to stock up. AND, I liked the deal on the Huggies big box of diapers.  Baby Jonah has tons of diapers due to my mad stockpiling skills, so I’ve been buying sizes 3 and 4 for him because he has enough of the small sizes.  Here’s what I got!

Rite Aid $11 got back $4

Huggies big box $17.99 (with my wellness + discount, the sale is for $19.99)

Two Lansinoh nursing pads $9.99 (BOGO)

Two Wet ones $1.99 each = $3.98

total =$31.96

coupons:

-$10 Rite Aid gift of savings certificate from December promotion

-$2 Huggies Rite Aid video values coupon

-$2.50 Huggies printable coupon

– $1 any non-prescription item Rite Aid video values coupon

-$1 any non-prescription item Rite Aid video values coupon (there are two different ones)

-$2 two $1 Wet Ones printable coupons

-$3 +UP Rewards

total =$10.46 + $1.26 tax = $11.72 and I got back 4 +UP Rewards, 1 each for the Wet Ones and 2 for the Huggies. 🙂  Not bad since my total was about the cost of ONE box of nursing pads and I got all of that!

What are YOU getting this week??

Good News and Bad News

The good news is: I’ve lost about 20 pounds since the baby was born.

The bad news is: I’ve got about 20 more to lose, preferably before we go to BlissDom in 4 weeks!

The good news is: my giant sweatpants are now too big and will barely stay up.

The bad news is: I have absolutely no other pants, sweat or otherwise, that DO currently fit.

The good news is: my baby loves to nurse and is good at it.

The bad news is: I now have to breastfeed while playing games with Sophie, getting the big kids a snack, answering the DOOR, and other unspeakable things.

The good news is: I am no longer taking narcotic pain killers.

The bad news is: I am no longer taking narcotic pain killers.

The good news is: Many wonderful friends have been bringing meals to my door for days.

The bad news is: None of it is going to help me lose the aforementioned 20 lbs.

But the really good news, and the bottom line: I have a beautiful, healthy baby boy who is as sweet as sugar and is fitting into our family perfectly.

Nothing can spoil that!

And now for my postpartum CVS mojo…

Tonight I had to go to CVS to get my Motrin prescription refilled.  Because really, I am off the narcotics but I still need something to take the edge off! I just had a giant hole cut in my belly 11 days ago.  And, I’m a total wimp. SO. While I was there I of course needed to pick up some necessities.  Here’s what I got:

DSC02314

Tide HE free & gentle $5.97

Charmin Ultra Strong $4.99 (this I had promised to my brother BUT we are almost out of TP and I am not dragging three kids out of the house to get more so….sorry Andy.  I will hit you next time!  You ungrateful hairy man.)

Bounty $6.99

Tone body wash$3.88 (finally! a women’s body was on sale! THANK YOU. My husband has 4 million and I had to BUY ONE two weeks ago. )

Prescription $3.40

total = $25.23

coupons:

-$1 Charmin (from coupons inside package of Duracell I bought at Rite Aid)

-$1 Tide from this Sunday’s P&G insert

-$1 Tone printable

-25 cents Bounty from this week’s P&G insert

-$20 ECBs I had from earlier transactions

total =$1.98 + tax = $3.51 and I got back 6 ECBs, 3 for the Tone, and 1 each for the Tide, Charmin, and Bounty.  The pharmacy tech was muy impressed. 🙂

That’s all I am planning to get this week…I’m still mostly staying at home and resting.  What did YOU get!?
