I Love Carter’s. Especially when there’s a sale!

I participated in an Influencer Program on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Carter’s. I received a gift card to facilitate my shopping trip and to thank me for participating.

MCC Carter's Friends & Family Coupon

Oh, HAI! It’s like, 2.2 seconds before Christmas! If you’re like me, you’re *almost* done with your shopping. As I have mentioned, in our house we give the kids four gifts: Something you want, Something you need, Something to WEAR, and Something to read.

A couple days ago I realized that I had gotten the kids ALL THE THINGS – except one – I forgot to get Jonah, my poor neglected third child, something to wear! So when Mom Central informed me of a shopping review opportunity with Carter’s, I was all, “Pick me! Pick me!” Because, as I’ve written before, I am a total Carter’s snob when my kids are little. What better place to purchase Jonah’s “Something to Wear”?

Now is the time for you to run out to the Carter’s store and finish up your last-minute shopping, too, or simply stock up on some things the kids need. Today through December 24th, you’ll save 25% off your ENTIRE purchase when you shop at Carter’s and use the above coupon! Woohoo!

I had lots of fun shopping for Jonah and I got him quite a few “somethings to wear” – 2 multi-packs of socks, three pairs of warm pants, and two shirts -plus, a 2-pack of leggings for Sophie and an adorable tunic she can wear to our family Christmas this weekend and for Valentine’s Day too (and, anytime in between)!

Here’s Sophie modeling her new outfit. Carter’s carries sizes newborn – 7, and Sophie’s in a 7 now…I am so sad she is about to outgrow being a Carter’s girl, so I am glad I found her some cute things!

I love the detail on the tunic!

I had a v-e-r-y hard time getting Jonah to be STILL for a photo, so forgive this photo, but isn’t this outfit the cutest? I am so happy he is a few more years to be a Carter’s cutie!

I was really looking for pants for Jonah to wear for preschool that were a) very warm and snuggly and b) super-easy for him to pull up and down to go to the potty – of course I found several pair! Here’s everything I got, sans the outfit Sophie was wearing:

I paid a grand total of $70 for all of this plus Sophie’s tunic and leggings that aren’t pictured. That’s a fantastic deal! I purchased 10 items total. You guys know I love a deal, so I was stoked!

I really enjoyed my shopping trip to the Carter’s store. Jonah enjoyed the little play area, there was a great selection of clothing, the prices were fantastic, and the store employees were friendly and helpful!

Grab your 25% Friends & Family sale coupon and get thee to a Carter’s store! Then…come back here and leave me a comment and let me know what kind of deals you scored!

Are your kids Carter’s babies? What are your favorite Carter’s items?

Cha-ching! Can you hear the cash registers ringing? I can! Holiday season is upon us, and as I mentioned last week, in my family, with all the November & December birthdays, the spending starts EARLY. So, I’m always looking for ways to offset the birthday-Christmas spending, whether it be through a sweet coupon deal or doing extra freelance writing to earn some additional cash. What’s even better than earning extra cash? WINNING IT! And thanks to Checks in the Mail, 10 lucky shoppers will win $100 cash this season!

But I’m getting a little ahead of myself. Let’s talk about checks, baby! (Let’s talk about you and me! That’s right, I grew up in the 90s. OWNING IT!) I remember how excited I was to open my first checking account when I graduated from high school. I loved picking out the cutesy check designs on my next set of checks after I ran through the “free” ones from the bank (BOR-ING). Over the years I’ve had cute checks, funny checks, ridiculous ones with cats on them (you know, before I had kids, when I still loved animals…) – but anyway, I love having fun check designs. And there are some check-writing incidents that hold special sentimental value for me, like the very last one I wrote for Sophie’s speech therapy, and the one Bobby and I wrote earlier this year that paid off the kids’ school tuition for the whole year. Those represented big accomplishments and hard work. I will always remember those checks!

Since I’m cheap, I like to shop around for the best deals on my cutie checks, so I have to share this coupon code with you for Checks in the Mail – use coupon code BESTOFFER at checkout to get 50% off your order if you’re a new customer AND free shipping! (Which means – order a lot so they last a long time with a deal like this!)

All right, now back to how to win $100 for the holidays! There are two ways to win. This first is super-easy – just open your blue ValPak envelope full of great coupons and offers that comes in the mail! Make sure you open your Valpak envelope this month because there could be a winning check inside!! Valpak and Checks in the Mail have teamed up to giveaway $100 checks in blue envelopes all over the country. Open yours today, don’t let it sit around!

Don’t get a ValPak envelope? No worries, if you don’t receive a blue envelope in your mailbox every month you can enter to win $100 below or visit Valpak.com to enter to win $5000! (Which is a nice, fat wad of holiday cash!)

Good luck and happy entering! What will you spend the $100 holiday cash on if you win?

Ten winners will each win $100 from Checks in the Mail. Only one winner per email address. Giveaway ends November 22, 2013. By submitting your email address you are agreeing to share that email with Checks in the Mail.

See Jenny Shop: Major CVS Sunday haul!!

You guys, I had SO MUCH FUN CVSing yesterday! It was pretty much just like OLD times! Wheeee! To start out with,  I had 6 ECBs left over from last week’s deals. THEN when I scanned my Extra Care card at the Magic Coupon Machine, out popped my $5 ECB for spending $50 with the CVS Beauty Club! That’s my 2nd reward since I started shopping drugstore makeup about 2 weeks ago. And of course I haven’t actually SPENT very much to get up to that $50 total, since the total is BEFORE coupons and ECBs. WHEEE!! Here’s what I got yesterday. I was SO excited!

cvs623a

First I went for some great freebies to build up some more Extra Care Bucks!
Transaction #1:

Two Colgate toothpaste $2.99 each = $5.98

Two Coppertone Sport suncscreen, 2/$19.98

One Crest mouthwash $4.99

Total = $30.95

Coupons I used:

-$5/$30 purchase CVS email coupon (woot!!)

-$2/2 Colgate printable from coupons.com

-$1.10 off Crest mouthwash from coupons.com

-$5/2 Coppertone from today’s Smart Source insert

– 11 Extra Care bucks I had from previous purchase + Beauty Club Rewards

Total  = $6.85 + tax = 8.32

Got back 4 ECB for the Colgate, 8 ECB for the Coppertone, and 4 for the Crest = 16 ECB!

With which I did this next transaction. I cannot pass up a chance to stock up on diapers for cheap!

cvs623b

3 Huggies jumbo packs $9.49 each = $28.47

Desitin $3

Wet ‘n Wild blush $2.99

Wet ‘n Wild Megalast lip color (which I hated by the way – DO NOT BUY!) $2.99

total = $37.45

Coupons I used:

-$9 – three $3 off Huggies printable coupons

-$1 Desitin printable coupon

-$16 ECB from previous transaction

= $11.45 + tax = $14.08 and I got back 14 ECB – 12 for the Huggies/Desitin (baby care deal) and 2 for the Wet ‘n Wild. It was a cheap makeup deal that I couldn’t resist but like I said, I hate the lip color. I have tried some lipsticks from Wet ‘n Wild that I like but that one I cannot recommend. It made my lips feel so dry I thought they would crack and break off my face. Blecch.

But anway!! I got 14 ECB! And this time the Magic Coupon machine spit me out a coupon for $1 off any $1.99 Wet ‘n Wild purchase – even though I had just made one, I decided to spend that real quick, and get another Crest mouthwash because the limit was 2 on that deal and I had another coupon. So I got:

cvs623c

Crest mouthwash $4.99

Wet ‘n Wild lip gloss $1.99 (haven’t tried it yet but I am sure it will be fine as it’s not the same kind as the other.)

total = $6.98

coupons I used:

-$1 CVS coupon for Wet ‘n Wild

-$1.10 Crest mouthwash coupon from coupons.com

-$2 ECB

total = $2.88 tax = $3.37 and I got back 4 ECB for the Crest. And of course, all that Wet ‘n Wild racked me up some more earnings towards my next CVS Beauty Club reward!

So, I started the day with 11 ECB, spent a total of $25.77 for all that stuff, and ended the day with 16 ECB left to spend! I think that’s pretty darn good…especially when I would have paid more than that for just the three packs of diapers alone without coupons and Extra Care Bucks!

WEEE HOO, that’s what I got this week! What are you getting at the drugstores??
