Yay Capitalism!

We have recently had two problems in our family. The first is that because of these babies
in our front yard, we had a TON of these babies
in our front yard. The second is that this baby
was constantly (and annoyingly) longing for new trains. So, Daddy told this baby
that he’d pay him 5 cents for every one of these babies
that he picked up. Now that it’s finally WARM, yesterday this baby
picked up 200 of these babies
and earned enough money to go to Target and buy these babies

Now, that my friend is killing two birds with one ~~baby~~ stone!

He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not

I went to see Emily and Baby Sammy (oh yes, he’s already Sammy!) on Friday and I got to hold the little guy for awhile. He was so precious! Joshua and Sophie were very interested in him, too. Actually, they liked his room most of all. And it is pretty sweet! But Sophie really did want to get her little hands on him. When Em’s dad was holding him, Soph was trying to climb up in his lap to get to Sammy! I had to run interference for the little guy. Here are a couple of pics:

And Sammy lets the world know what he thinks of cousin Jenny. I swear, he was totally Zen until I said “I need to get a picture with Sammy.”

I’m not worried. I’m sort of an acquired taste.

I’ve finally made it to the computer..

…but not in nearly enough time to write the birth story I had planned! I promise I will do it today and post tomorrow. I’ve been a bit busy!

In any case, I just wanted to pop on here and thank everyone for all the nice comments and well wishes for me and my family this week. You all are so sweet!

And of course, a huge thanks to Jeni for the fabulous “Samuel” gift set and for the giveaway, and to Jenny for all the stuff she’s pillaged from CVS in the last few months.
