20 Bloggers Walk into a Pizza Joint…

Tuesday night Emily and I had the privilege of attending a local event at Cassano’s Pizza – a Dayton pizza tradition.  They gathered a bunch of social media folks to try out their new All-Edge Pizza, and WOW! Was it good!  Cassano’s has been my husband’s favorite for ummm, welll….his entire life.  I didn’t like it so much when I was a kid (why? I have NO IDEA! Because it’s awesome!)  but now I luuuurve it. I also love their calzones and spaghetti and meatballs.  As a matter of fact, said spaghetti & meatballs has been one of my pregnancy craving foods this time around!

But anyhoo, the All-Edge pizza was amaaaazing – crispy edge pieces all around, and the center filled with one of your fave appetizers!  My favorites are the toasted ravioli and the mozarella sticks but there were lots more including deep-fried bell peppers and potato wedges!

Seriously it was soooo flippin’ amazing. And the whole Cassano family was there, even the littlest ones!! They made a great showing and put on an amazing event. This was planned before Vic Cassano Jr.’s unexpected passing a few weeks ago and they still came together and pulled it off. I was much more than impressed! Here are some pics of some of my favorite people enjoying the event!

It was a wonderful event and Em & I thank the Cassanos for inviting us! You can get the All-Edge pizza starting TODAY so call 294-KING and order you up one if you are in the Dayton area!

Now, let me switch subjects real quick to makeup. What do pizza and makeup have in common?? I LOVE them both, that’s what!! The fab folks at Mary Kay sent me some of their new SHADES to try and I got them Tuesday so I thought since I was going to the Cassano’s event that night I should try some of them out! I *loved* them. Here’s how my face turned out:

I absolutely loved all the new shades I tried!  My eyeshadow was crystalline, chocolate kiss, and the new shade Midnight Star (the dark blue on the outside. It is lighter than navy and kind of shimmery…gorgeous!)  My blush was a pretty new color called Citrus Bloom.  And on my lips, a new shade that MAY be just the perfect one I’ve been waiting for…Copper Star.  It is the perfect shimmery-brown-toned-bronze.  I wore it with neutral lip liner and it was perfect!  I also tried out a new product, Liquid Lip Color.  I didn’t wear it that night but I wore it out today and I LOVE it.  It is to die for.  The coverage of a lipstick with the application & shine of a gloss, and it has a hint of mint in it to make your lips tingle.  I want one in every color!

Thanks Mary Kay for helping me look my best and Cassano’s for a great night out!

I needed a break from potty training…

So I went to Rite Aid.  Look, one can only stare at their kid’s gen-uh-tail-ya looking for signs of pee-pee for so long before one goes totally flippin’ crazy.  SO – about 3:45 today I slapped a pull-up on that butt and we went to Rite Aid. (She stayed dry while we were out, BTW.)

Here’s what we got!

Rite Aid, paid $10.28 will get back $10 rebate and got 3 +UP rewards

Coppertone (25% more free!) Spray $8.99
Benadryl $5.49 ($4.94 for me b/c of my 10% wellness + discount)
Herbal Essences $2.49
2 Gillette Satin Care clearance $2.98
Huggies $8.99
2 kids Style Science sunglasses (BOGO 50% off) $11.98
total =$40.37

Coupons I used:
$5/$25 Rite Aid Video Values for watching wellness + video
$3 off Coppertone Rite Aid Video Values q
$2 off Benadryl Rite Aid in-ad coupon
$1 off Benadryl manufacturer’s q from insert a while back
FREE Huggies voucher I got from previous Rite Aid rebate -$8.99
Two $4 off Style Science Rite Aid Video Values q’s -$8
$2 +UP rewards from buying coppertone earlier in the week
$1 Herbal Essences manu q from recent insert
Two .55 off Gillette Satin Care q’s from recent P&G – $1.10
Total = $8.28 + $2.48 tax = $10.76. Will get back $10 Single Check Rebate for the sunglasses, and got $2 +UP rewards for Coppertone and $1 +UP rewards for the Huggies, so a PROFIT of $2.24 on this trip!! 🙂
Not bad for a stress-reliever!

Oh, and I should add that the Benadryl counts toward the Rite Aid Allergy Rewards program and the Coppertone counts toward the Skin Care rebate (#555) that I am working on!

P.S. my store lets you use more than video values q per transaction – so, 2 sunglasses, 2 coupons.  Not all stores do this. Nobody freak out if yours doesn’t!
