Babies’ Breath

I love morning snuggle time with my babies.  Even though they are now much bigger than babies and in our full-size bed, snuggle time is *very* cozy.  And if it’s a weekend and all four of us are in the bed at the same time, it gets a *wee bit* uncomfortable.  I still love it!  I love those tiny, warm-as-toast, sleepy bodies smushed up next to mine. I love little arms and legs flung over mine.  I love little hands lovingly patting my cheek.

But there is one thing I don’t love about our morning snuggles.

Both of my children’s RAGING, vile morning breath.

I know, we all have it.  But really?  Cute, cuddly, warm-as-toast, fresh-from-the-bed little kiddos just shouldn’t.

But mine do.  Neither of them will go anywhere near mint toothpaste, and their favorite Colgate Watermelon, while keeping their teeth lovely and shiny, is NOT doing much for the stankous smell that comes out when they press their little faces close to mine in the mornings!

The warm morning snuggles are still worth it of course…but if we want to keep it up, I might soon be needing a Mommy Morning Gas Mask!

What’s your favorite (or least favorite) thing about morning snuggles with your kids?

Why Couponing Rocks – Giving Back

This month it is “paper donation” month at Sophie’s preschool.  To help keep tuition low, every month parents donate items to the school.  Items on the “paper” list included paper towels, tissues, baby wipes, antibacterial wipes, paper plates and cups, etc.  Because of the magic of couponing, all I had to do to get items to donate was go to my stockpile!  Here are some things I took in that I already had more than enough of on hand:

Last week Lysol products were on a great ECB deal at CVS, so I grabbed 4 containers of Lysol wipes as well and took all this stuff in. It was such a great feeling to be able to give all this and not have to worry about the cost, since I already had most of it.  And, there is still plenty left in my stockpile. Yay for coupons!

Coupons have been such a blessing in my life and are one way God provides for my family’s needs – and the needs of others!

What’s your “coupons rock” story??

Two-timing: Rite Aid and CVS deals today!

I had a few more Rite Aid deals I wanted to get and since I didn’t get to use my $1/$1 Huggies Rite Aid video values coupon on Sunday’s run, I decided to try my luck and see if another $2 +UP Reward would print even though I bought three (and got three rewards) on Sunday. So…here’s what I got at Rite Aid today.

DSC02255

Huggies $8.99

Listerine Zero $2.99

Oral B tooth brush $2.99

Two Cottonelle wipes refills $4

Total = $18.97

coupons:

-$3/$15 Rite Aid purchase (Single Check Rebate quarterly coupon emailed to me)

-$2.50 Huggies Little Movers printable coupon

-$1 Huggies Rite Aid Video Values coupon

-$2 Listerine Zero coupon from this Sunday’s RedPlum

-$1 Oral B from specially marked P&G product packages

-$6 +UP Rewards from Sunday’s Huggies deal

=$2.47 + 91 cents tax = $3.38 and I got back 6 +UP Rewards!  The $2 for the Huggies did INDEED print, and I got $1 for the Cottonelle, $2 for the Oral B and $1 for the Listerine.  Woohoo!  That’s how I like to shop!

Next I moved on to what has become my part-time lover, CVS.  Despite the fact that the Rite Aid deals have been WAY hotter recently, there were a couple of deals I wanted to get this week.

CVS paid 78 cents and got back $5.80 ECB

Two Right Guard deodorant $2.29 each = $4.58
Schick Hydro Shave Gel $2.79
Chewy Sweet Tarts $.89 (I needed a filler, and Mama likes FRUITY CANDY!)

total = $8.26

Coupons:

-$3/2 Right Guard from coupons.com

-$5 ECBs

= 26 cents + 52 cents tax = 78 cents and I got back $4 ECB for the Right Guard and $1.80 for the Schick shave gel!  Not a bad way to pick up my hubby’s FAVORITE shave gel.

So that’s what I got today – what did YOU get??
