I Coupon, Therefore I Am

This week was CRAZY. I only went to CVS TWICE!! Sunday and Friday. Now that’s just very unlike me, but I was BUSY! They were already out of some stuff I wanted on Sunday, so this is all I got:

CVS made lotsa moolah on this one

Freestyle $39.99
Milk $2.99
Soy Joys $4
Total= $46.98
Coupons:
$5/$25 Rite Aid coupon (My CVS takes competitor q’s)
up to $55 off Freestyle coupon (found on tearpad at CVS) – $39.99
Two B1G1 free Soy Joy coupons
Total = $-.01 The cashier added a penny “taxable item” onto the order, so it came to $0, and I got back 14 ECB!! 10 for the monitor and 4 for the Soy Joy! Yahooo!! I love making $$ shopping!

Then Friday I went back cause we were dangerously low on sippy cups!

CVS paid 35 cents

Three Playskool Wash & Toss cups on sale for $3.59 each (I didn’t realize they were on sale so this threw my calculations off a bit! Whoops!)
Three 160 count Playskool wipes on sale for$3.99 each
Total = $22.74
Coupons: $5/$25 Rite Aid coupon (I had though it would be over $25 with the cups at regular price – cashier let it slide! Love my CVS!!)
$4/$20 CVS CRT for Playskool
$2 CVS CRT for Playskool wipes
$2 CVS CRT (expired but my CVS takes them for 30 days) for Playskool wipes
Two $1 CVS coupons for Playskool wipes
Total – $7.54
I paid with a 7.99 ECB adjusted down to 7.54, paid 35 cents cash and got back 5 ECB for the Playskool deal! Playskool wipes are my fave so I was very happy with that one!

Now, happily, KMart in our area FINALLY did the “super double coupons” thing this week! They doubled $2 coupons up to $4!! Crazy!! Here is what I got!

Kmart paid $2.24

I paid $2.24 for all of this!! My total before coupons was $39.10. Everything in the picture I got for free, except the peanut butter, which was $1. So I paid $1 for it and $1.24 tax for all these goodies!! Thanks KMART!

I also got paid three dollars by Meijer to buy 12 boxes of cereal and 9 boxes of jello, but I was too tired to take a picture when I got home. 🙂

Hope you all did great this week! To see how the rest of the crazy couponers did, check out Super Savings Saturday at Money Saving Mom and CVS Superstars at The Centsible Sawyer!

  1. I got an award this week… best bargain hunter. I’m glad they hadn’t met you first or I would have lost my title.

  2. Did your Kmart allow you to use internet coupons? The Kmart that I went to denied my coupons. I called customer service and was not satisfied with their answers so I have emailed customer service and am waiting for a reply.

  3. Our kmart also did the double coupons! Yeah!!! But the ad for our area did specifically say that no internet coupons would be accepted. Also, 2 of my $2 coupons didn’t double – I went over to customer service and they did fix it!

  4. Great shopping! Also, the $2 endust coupon was a hit as was the hair gel $1 for LA product, and the herbal essence coupon was a $2 one so that shampoo was also free, as was the sally hanson $2 Q for any implement, instant coffee tasters choice Q @ .50 doubled to the sale price of $1. Did you see the Celestial Seasonings tea for $2.50? The manufacturers Q was for $1, making the tea only .50! Rolaids, tums, Johnson and Johnson 1st aid item, doggie jerky treats, bonz, whiskas cat treats were all free with the manufact. Q’s. I did have to pay .19 for bumble bee tuna @ 1.29 with the manuf. Q, and 1.19 for the big box 12 pack of Whiskas cat food with a $2 Q. Tear pads in the stores made cards .50, so I got Birthday, get well etc cards. Revlon beauty tools were free with recent $1 Q. If you have an Albertsons where you live, the light bulbs are money makers with the Q from the old AC moore coupon flyer a while back. Also a freebie is the bryers for yogurt with the Q from last weeks papers. Razors were about .49C with the bic $2 coupon. You did great with your coupons! Didn’t know if you got these other deals or not, but didn’t want you to miss out on them for the next time. Janet
