I love Kroger! It’s like the CVS of Grocery Stores!

I had so many super savings this week, I decided to break them up into two posts! You can see my CVS post here, but this one is alll about Kroger! I started off the week at Kroger to work the Daytona 500 promotion, where if you bought 10 of certain items, you got $3 off your order at checkout. You could do this up to three times per transaction. I did it twice in one transaction, and here is what I got:

That’s TEN jars of Ragu, two 5-packs of Kraft Mac & Cheese, and eight boxes of Fruit Roll-ups that counted towards the Daytona deal. I had 50-cents-off two Ragu coupons, which after the promotion made the Ragu just 78 cents each! I had 80-cents-off two coupons for the Fruit Roll-ups, which after the promotion made them only 87 cents each – but then I had a nice surprise when I was rewarded at checkout with a $3.50 catalina for buying the Fruit roll-ups!! So that makes them even cheaper!! I had a FREE coupon for the Cake mix and the tuna pouch which had printed for me on previous Kroger receipts. All in all, after all the coupons and promotions I paid $30.25 for all this and got back $3.50 to spend on my next order. Woohoo!

Then I heard about this hot Planters coupon (buy 3 participating Kraft/Nabisco items, get $3 off Planters nuts) from Money Saving Mom, and found out there was also a Catalina deal for Planters at Kroger. So I did this:

Eight pkgs. of Kraft Mac & Cheese 77 cents each
Three Planters Honey roasted peanuts $3.19 each
One pkg. Kraft Deli Select singles

I used three of the $3 off Planters q’s and a FREE coupon for the cheese from Sunday’s Parade magazine, and my $3.50 Catalina from the Fruit Roll-Ups deal, and paid a total of $6.23 and got a Catalina for $4 off my next order for buying the Planters!

THEN, I heard about some more great deals from Jamie at Thrifty in the Cincy (all you Dayton-area readers should bookmark her! She has all the local Kroger and Meijer deals!!) So, I took more Planters coupons as well as some others and did THIS:

Eight pkgs. of Kraft Mac & Cheese at 77 cents each
Two Planters Honey Roasted Peanuts $3.19 each
One Planters Cocktail Peanuts $2.99
One pkg. Kraft Deli Select Singles $3.19
Three Lawry’s marinades $1 each
Two Cottonelle 4-pks 99 cents each

I used three of the $3 off Planters q’s
One FREE Kraft cheese coupon from Parade magazine
Three 50 cents off Lawry’s coupons, doubled which made the Lawry’s FREE
Two 25-cents-off Cottonelle coupons, doubled to 50 cents (making them 49 cents!)
My $4 off Catalina from the earlier Planters transaction
I paid a total of $3.61 and got another $4 catalina to use on my next transaction!! I LOVE YOU KROGER!!!

The Planters deal is buy 3, get $4 buy 4, get $5, buy 5, get $6.50…I have some more coupons so I will be going back for this again next week! It ends July 13th. I now have enough Mac & Cheese to last the rest of the year!!

That’s all for my adventures in Krogering For more great money savers, check out Super Savings Saturday at Money Saving Mom!

  1. Wow, that’s incredible! I shopped on Tuesday as they were switching between sales (we run Wed-Tue) so I have barely touched the Daytona Sales. I’m going to keep this site bookmarked until I go to Kroger to remember all the deals you did. 🙂 Are the mac and cheese and planters part of the buy 10?

  2. No they aren’t, I sure wish they were!! Just the 5-packs of Mac & Cheese from my first trip are part of the Daytona deal.

  3. Thanks for the site! I also do local Kroger/Meijer (and CVS/Wags) deals so our info looks the same – always good to see others’ sharing the dealio luv!!

  4. At the risk of sounding like a curmudgeon (which I totally am)…I am always adopting new pet peeves, because b*tching about stuff makes me happy. One said pet peeve is when people call Kroger – Krogers. The same goes for Wal-Mart(s). I hate the inclusion of the “S” on words that should remain Es-less. So, I would like to take this moment to thank you for writing Kroger and not Krogers. Of course, you’re smart…so this comment is more of a pat-on-the back than a thanks. So, right on!
