Giveaway a Day: $25 Kroger Gift Card

This week in honor of the upcoming holidays, Emily & I are thrilled to bring you a giveaway-a-day! Woot! Today’s giveaway is a $25 to our favorite grocery store, KROGER! Kroger wants to give you the chance to win in honor of their new pet insurance program through Kroger Personal Finance.

What!? Pet Insurance you say! Maybe it sounds silly at first, but think about unexpected vet bills for your beloved pets. Most pets are considered family members, and pet owners will do whatever is needed to get them well again after an accident or health problem. (Like my husband’s family who gave their diabetic dog insulin shots every day for years!) Kroger offers accident-only pet insurance for only $9.95 per month per pet. And if you feel like your pet needs more coverage, they have lots of other policies too, from heartworm to hospitalization, and lots more.

So, if you have a beloved cat, like the cat I had growing up named Fuzzy who was totally awesome and lived to be twenty years old and had quite a few vet trips over the years, or a beloved dog like my friend’s daschund who had to have back surgery – pet insurance is something you might want to look into! If you don’t have a Kroger nearby, you can still purchase online or at most of the Kroger family of stores (Ralph’s, Fred Meyer, King Sooper’s, etc.)

Win it! Here’s how to win a $25 gift card from Kroger!

1) Leave a comment on this post telling us the name of your favorite pet.
2) Tweet about this giveaway on twitter – follow & include @krogerdeals in your tweet. Then leave a separate comment with your tweet URL.
3) Subscribe to our feed and leave a comment telling us you did or already do.

Random.org will choose the lucky winning comment # on Thursday, December 17th, so hurry and enter!

And come back tomorrow for another great giveaway!

Kroger totally gave Emily & me a $25 gift card as well. Which we really appreciate since we both do nearly all our grocery shopping there! Yippee! Thanks, Kroger!

  1. As the owner of a Golden Retriever who’s had TWO knee surgeries in the past year, I would totally go back in time and get pet insurance!! Abbey’s doing great though (despite the fact that we’re paying out the butt for medication for her!) Ahhh, what we do for animals! (Don’t tell her that we’ve paid more for her than the cat!)

  2. Let’s see we have 2 cats and 2 dogs and would love to have that! I didn’t even know Kroger even offered such things! Yippee!! I never win anything so this is exciting!

  3. My favorite pet is one of my current dogs. She is my sweet (other than my two kids) and was my baby before the kids came along. The other dog we have is completely loyal to my husband and we never quite bonded together like me and my dog did, even though she came after he did. Her name is Roxi (her papers say Foxi Roxi). Yes, I named her. She is beautiful, sweet and a great dog for our family!

  4. We have always had dogs, so at first thought dogs would be my favorite pets but then I met Midnight-a cat- who made me a cat lover too. So Midnight holds a special place in my dog-lover heart.

  5. My favorite pet was a black lab named Jackson. We had to get rid of him when we moved to an apt. that we couldn’t have pets. We really miss him.

  6. Sam the Hermit Crab- a pet-store escapee found out and about in the now defunct and demolished City Centre Mall in Middletown, Ohio 🙂

  7. i can’t just pick one fav pet.. i have 6 chihuahuas. Dolce, Chico, Twinkie, Covu, Blackie and Dixie. I love them all so much. Covu’s been having heart problems so a little extra cash could help out alot! *Fingers Crossed*

  8. My fav pet is Cody.He is no longer with me here,he is in heaven and i know i will see him again.I have not allowed myself the closeness i had with cody since he left.He was a beautiful collie/border collie that i swear could understand me,,,
he is missed still after 2 years…
