Holiday Giveaway Bash – Win a Bicycle from Performance Bikes!

I couldn’t be more excited about this giveaway! This fall Kate got really good at riding her two-wheeler… and then it broke. A new one is at the top of her Christmas list, and thanks to Performance Bike, her wish is going to be granted!

Performance Bicycle has long been a best-selling brand in the world of specialty bikes for serious cyclists, and this year they are introducing their line specially made for kids. They’ve got everything from trikes and balance bikes (have you heard of this? If not, check it out! I bought a balance bike for Sam for Christmas because I think the concept is so ingenious) to 24″ mountain bikes… and everything in between.

Their focus is quality and safety. Jim Thompson, chief executive officer of Performance Inc., says “We put the same care and craftsmanship into the development and assembly of our new kids bikes as we put into a $5,000 road bike.”

This resonated with me, because when I started researching bikes for Kate a few months ago, my first inclination was to look for a used one. She has only had hand-me-down bikes in the past, and they have worked out fine (until the last one finally bit the dust). But the more I read, the more important I thought it was to get her a new bike. She’s at the age when she will be riding her bike hard and putting it through a lot – she needs something stable, and she needs to be able to rely on the brakes (please God, do not let her ride down hills with no hands the way her mother did).

As you can see, I am very impressed with Performance Bike. But I haven’t even told you the best part!

Performance Bike ships a “Bike-in-a-Box” – which means the bike shows up on your doorstep fully assembled. *Cue the Hallelujah Chorus*

We want you to try out Performance Bike too! One lucky winner will choose from these two 20″ bikes, ideal for kids six to eight years old.

  1. My son is 5 and loves riding bike. The one he has I got at a thrift store for $3 and it is almost worn out. He would love a new bike.

  2. I would give this to my daughter….we are planning to get her a bike in May for her 4 year old birthday.

  3. My son Quinn only wants a bike for Christmas. Well that and a book to put on the back of his bike (yep, i don’t know what that means either. but he’s sticking with it.) he’s getting a bike no matter what, but it would be nice to win one 🙂

  4. I tweeted this giveaway “@mommintup & @jennyitup are giving away a kids’ bike from @performance_inc! #wingiveaways”

  5. I would give this to my nephew, he could definately use a new one and my sister just lost her job so it would be perfect!

  6. This would go to my daughter. She has thus far been unsuccessful at riding a bicycle. We just bought her one but it turns out to be about 3″ too big for her. Hopefully we can get her this 20″ so she can be more confident in learning.

  7. I would love to get this bike for my 9 year old son. He is ready to upgrade to the next size. He loves to play outdoors and is very mechanical. He tells us he is going to be an engineer when he grows up.

  8. The bike would go to my son. He loves Legos and all things building. He also loves to ride his bike, even when it is freezing outside!

  9. I have three boys, so I am going to have a hard time picking which one to give it too… they all need one!!
