#doyourmakeup Tip: Why You Should Use Eye Makeup Primer

EyeMakeupCollage3
I do a lot of different things with my eye makeup, but one thing I always do every day is wear eye makeup primer. Two reasons: it keeps your shadow and liner on longer and it shows allows the true color of the product to come through without being affected  by your skin tone. It’s a product I can’t live without! Recently I’ve been using this L’Oreal Paris Magic Decrease primer and I love it. Less than $10 at the drug store, and it’ll  help you get the most bang for your buck out of your eye shadows. Don’t believe me? I’ve put together this two-minute video with a demonstration to show you what I mean! Check it out, and don’t forget to check me out under the hashtag #doyourmakeup on Instagram and Twitter. Hashtag your own daily makeup and join in!

  1. 1. You are totes adorbs
    2. I thought primer was a rip off, but you have now convinced mr otherwise! Thank you for sharing your wisdom!
    3. I love your “crazy” colorful makeup

    1. Thanks for the tip! I am just foraying into drugstore makeup after having used Mary Kay for years. I’ll give those primers a try, too!

  2. Maybe this is a dumb question, but can you use regular primer on your eyelids like you use for the rest of your face? That’s what I do – I honestly did not realize they made it specifically for your lids. :/

    1. Emily, I also do that when I’m out of eye primer. It does work but not as well. I think eye lid primer is more “Grabby” as far as color goes. You wouldn’t want to use it on the rest of your face, LOL! I think it’s thicker because the skin on our eyelids is so much thinner. That’s just my hypothesis!
