Pin for the Wednesdays – Asparagus Margaritas

Oh wait, I mean asparagus AND margaritas. Not together. Preferably not at the same time! I crack myself up.

Anyway, last week, those of you who expressed your opinion said you liked #PinFTW, so we’re going to keep it going at least a while longer. And, unsurprisingly, today’s PinFTW is about two of my favorite subjects – food and alcohol!

First, grilled asparagus. I will admit – I did not think I was a fan of asparagus. To be honest, most of my experience with it has been of the canned variety, and people – that is just not right. However, fresh asparagus drenched in olive oil and other seasonings? Is delicious.

I’ve made this twice now, and it is soooo good. I haven’t quite convinced my children of this, but trust me. It’s great. And soooooo healthy!

And speaking of healthy, what is more healthy than cherries??? Especially when they’re accompanied by tequila. This recipe for cherry margaritas is from one of my favorite food blogs, Annie’s Eats.

When we were in Michigan last week, I picked up a couple pounds of cherries from a road side stand, and we snacked on them all weekend – and I whipped up the margaritas for the moms. They were great! I wish I had one right now.

There you have it – the pins I’ve actually put into use. What have you got for us??

Here are just a few rules:

1) In your post, please link to your original source – the pin you got the idea from.

2) Make sure and link back to our original Pin For the Wednesdays Post here at Mommin’ It Up! (please!)

3) In the Mr. Linky below, leave a direct link to your Pin FTWednesdays post, not to your main website.

4) Totally optional – grab our cute #PinFTW button! The code box is over there in our sidebar.

Pin for the LOSEday?

Welcome to Pin for the Wednesdays! It may be the very last one.  Emily and I are trying to decide whether we should keep doing it or not.  Because, much to our chagrin, it has not taken the internet by storm and brought us bloggy fame and fortune. Really, I expected to be driving a PORSCHE by now, people!  Geez.

Just kidding, I already drive a Porsche. I just don’t blog about it because I like to seem relatable.

Anyhoo, what do you all think?  Since we haven’t seen tons of link-ups or comments, we’re not sure if you like it or not. And it is all. About. YOU. So, we thought we’d leave it up to you.  We might pass it along to someone whose blog is more pinterest-y.  Or, if you like it, you really, really, like it, we’ll keep doing it!

So, will you miss Pin For The Wednesdays if it goes bye-bye? Check yes or no!  And leave us a comment.  And if you were already planning on linking up this week, please do!  We love reading & seeing your handiwork!

Pin For the Wednesday: Summery Fruit Punch

Welcome to Pin for the Wednesdays!

As Emily mentioned, a few weeks ago we threw a baby shower and I was in charge of beverages. Very important!  Naturally, I went to Pinterest to find a good punch recipe.  And there were lots to choose from, but in the end I went with this one:

And it….was…delicious!   I was skeptical because it called for ginger ale and I dislike ginger ale.  However, that mixed with pineapple juice and cranberry juice cocktail and slices of lime and orange…mmm!! Couldn’t have been any tastier. Well,  maybe it could’ve. The recipe called for orange juice, too, but I was a dummy and left the orange juice at home. However, the punch was still amazing – light, refreshing, sweet but not tart – it was everything you want a summer punch to be.  I was rather pleased with this pin!

That’s my winning pin for this week!  What have you been pinning and putting into practice?  Let us know and leave your links below!   Don’t forget to link to your original pin and back here to this post.   Can’t wait to see what you’ve got!
